Hell-o lovahs! It’s Valentine’s week. Thank you Hallmark for helping us make a production out of an otherwise ordinary day. Single, married, twice-divorced, don’t matter — you can celebrate Valentine’s loving the little things, including yourself or maybe a marathon of Top Chef on Bravo.

To show your workout some love, here’s to sweet, sweet music.

Valentine’s Workout Playlist — DJ Cupid’s Remix:
- A-Ha: Take On Me. Who doesn’t love an 80s love song?

- Chris Brown: Forever. Just thinking about the wedding video that went viral from this song makes me cry.

- Enrique Iglesias – Tonight (I’m Loving You). Can’t be all chocolates and roses, right?

- Hall & Oats: You Make My Dreams Come True. 500 Days of Summer, Hans Solo…all I’m saying.

- David Guetta ft. Usher: Without You. This will get your heart pumping.

What’s your favorite anti-love song that tells Cupid to stuff it? Kayne West’s “Heartless” is a good hit.

It’s not what you think. OK maybe it is. I’ve been doing something for a few weeks without even knowing it.

I’ve been naked…Well my ears have.

Back in December I was tired of running to the same music and when I was home in Atlanta for Christmas I ran with my mom and ended up talking or running without my music out of convenience. Fast forward to today.

Running sans earbuds has been amazing. At first I missed having Kayne or Foster the People sing me up a hill, but then I realized how clear my thoughts had become and how focused I was on running well. Now I bolt out the door without panicking that I forgot my iPod.

During my workouts I don’t fumble to skip through a song and I’m more in-tune with myself. Are you getting enough of these puns?

You should give running with yourself a try. With spring around the corner there will be plenty of birds and bees buzzing to keep you entertained.

You with me or are you a more of a “please don’t stop the music” kind of workout enthusiast?

Hi sweets! How is everyone’s week? Hope you are continuing to enjoy every ounce of holiday cheer.

It’s time to turn up the holiday tunes! I know running to Christmas music might seem crazy, but I quite enjoy the sound of sleigh bells — it makes me feel like a flying Santa.

Ho Ho Ho Holiday Jingles:
- Mariah Carey: Christmas (Baby Please Come Home). I’m coming Georgia!

- Elvis Presley: Here Comes Santa Claus. Hunka hunka burning love for this song. Plus it’s an epic scene from Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

- Lady Gaga: Christmas Tree. This is an actual beat you can deck the halls streets to.

- Michael Buble: Cold December Night. I wouldn’t be sad if he ended up under my Christmas tree.

- Coldplay: Christmas Lights Your cool down song. Take your feet to Oxford Street.

David Bowie and Bing’s Little Drummer Boy is one of my fave Christmas songs, but you have to check out the Will Ferrell spoof on this classic video. The end is the best part:

What’s one of your all time favorite Christmas songs? Any new faves this season? If you say Justin Bieber, Santa will put you on the naughty list.

I got strong all day.

Now that you are ready to conquer anything the day throws at you, how about some tunes to get you on your way.

When I’m not running to Christmas music, don’t judge…

My weekly rotation:
- Florence & The Machine: What the Water Gave Me. This woman can do no wrong.
- Will.i.am ft. Mick Jagger & Jennifer Lopez: T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever). Go hard or go home. Point taken.
- The Saturdays: Ego. This is a total bubble gum pop song, but hey I guess you could blow bubbles while running.
- Jay-Z feat. Kanye West: Why I love you. The whole album is a beat I can step to.
- Michael Buble: All I Want For Christmas Is You. Heads up Beiber, this is how you remake a classic.

iTune it up.

How are you holly jollying up your playlist this holiday season? Too soon?

It’s Friday sweets. If you need a new soundtrack for your weekend routine let me share some of my chart toppers.

My weekly rotation:
- Florence & The Machine: Shake it Out. Florence takes you through a slow warm up and then gets your BPM up in no time.
- Snow Patrol: Called Out In The Dark. This gem is new!!! It’s your time to run!
- Flo Rida: Good Feeling. If you don’t feel like working out the song and video are sure to move those tootsies.
- Enrique Iglesias feat. Pitbull: I Like How It Feels. More, more, more.
- Gym Class Heroes ft. Adam Levine: Stereo Hearts. I finally started to warm up to this song, it’s catchy.

Day 10 Report of my 21 Day Challenge: The best news, I have dropped my pace by over a minute. I can now run with the hus and keep up. These short distances are surprisingly wonderful and easy to do. Some days I do 4 miles if I know we’re going for a hike, or I’ll do speed work at the gym for that last mile. But most importantly, I’ve been dedicated to my health and my body is thanking me. I haven’t had to push myself and I am feeling good almost halfway through this challenge. I like having something on MY daily to-do list. Thanks for ALL your support and well wishes.

Back to you guys, what songs are you singing these days?

With Halloween around the corner here’s a remix of my current faves and some seasonal spooktacular monster mashes.

My weekly rotation:
- Pitbull: Something for the Djs. Again, something you either need to be working out, or working it out, to:) Start clapping your hands.
- Beyonce: Countdown. I turned this song off a dozen times on the radio, heard it once in the gym and I’m screaming “me and my boo” all day. I think I have the head jerk down too.
- Coldplay featuring Rihanna: Princess of China. Definitely a different sound for the indy band, which I like, and it’s a killer duet.
- Panic At The Disco : This is Halloween. Quite possibly one of my favourite all time movies, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Always puts me in the holiday spirit.
- Rockwell Somebody’s Watching Me. Old school jam that I could actually still workout to today. And ironically this is exactly how I feel at the gym.

Any news songs? Send my way! Love to hear your favourite Halloween hits.

Nothing gets me motivated to move like a good song. I have more than a few to share, but if I must pick my top faves…

My weekly rotation:
- Chris Brown: Beautiful People. It makes you feel good and the video is equal parts amazing.
- David Guetta Ft. Usher: Without You. I couldn’t get through a run without this.
- Emeli Sandé: Heaven. Listen closely to the lyrics. Amen to get getting through the day.
- Sak Noel : Loca People. Our UK party anthem. You’ll be asking for your friend Johnny all the time.
- Delilah: GO. This jam starts out slow and is perfect for a strong finish or cool down.

Shout out to my favourite local radio station, BBC Radio 1. Some Europeans love the dance music, like bring your glow sticks kind of music:)

What songs am I missing, especially from the states?!

I am in need of the weekend like nobody’s business. What better way to kick-off the weekend than with some new jams?!

Considering I’ve been listening to Christmas music at work (don’t judge) and don’t run consistenly with music anymore, my playloist needs some fine “tuning.”

Song’s HERRRE (to the tune of Pauly yelling for a cab)
- Mumford and Sons Little Lion Man
- Far East Movement G6
- Rihanna ft. Drake What’s My Name
- Pink Raise Your Glass!
- Dierks Bentley Up On The Ridge

Dare I tell you that Norak is still running with a Walk-Man-esc device. It must add 5 pounds, lol. She has a her first “big girl” run, six miles! And after some serious tutorials, she loves the Garmin Forerunner. We’ll report on that next week and I’ll also introduce you all to a running rock star.

I feel like I am out of the loop- what songs am I missing?

Before I forget, shameless self promotion in 3…2….
I guest posted on over at The Healthy Apron, a fantastic site dedicated to health and fitness. Get on over and check it out if you’d like.

Punch me. I remember hearing rumors about not being allowed to have headphones or music during triathlons. During a sprint you don’t have time to catch your breath, much less think about music. For the Augusta 1/2 Ironman relay, I will have to run my relay portion of 13.1 miles in silence.

Read the fine print of the race rules- unlucky #13:
13. HEADSETS OR HEADPHONES ARE NOT ALLOWED DURING ANY PORTION OF THE EVENT.
USAT regulations to wear headphones, IPODS or anything that inhibits your ability to hear during any part of the triathlon. You will be disqualified.

Hi, have you met me? I love, live, for music. There is no way I can memorize the entire Eminem album in time. I know the running purists out there are laughing at me, but dayum this girl needs a little music to musc-le through. When you’re biking you don’t have time to think about music because you’re worried about the 900 other things that could go wrong. On the run, it’s feet, pavement, heavy breathing, the runner next to you breathing hard, the runner next to you running with heavy feet, etc. Blerg. Total fail.

I will now have to seriously train to run without music. Do you think if I just start talking to the fellow racers they will engage in conversation? I mean, I need something to take my mind off the music.

Me to Meghan (who is doing the full 1/2 Ironman, no relay): You nervous at all about the no headphones?
(loaded question to the serious athlete)
Meghan: Nah, all three marathons I couldn’t use them. I think you’ll actually be surprised. It’s kind of nice just zoning out and listening to the crowd.
Me: OMG, I’m sorry my jaw just hit the floor. Dear wonder woman: you suck
Meghan: I hear the run course has tons of spectators
Me: It better have a DJ.
Meghan: I’ll sing to you.
Me: I’d rather not have any music then.

In honor of my silence is golden run…here are the tops songs I never thought I could run without:
- Eminem “Collapse
- Evans Blue “Dear Lucid
- Shakira “Give it Up to Me

What about you? If you could only have 3 songs on your playlist, what would they be?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BEAUTIFUL BESTIE – JESSICA (aka on this site as Moose). Wish I was there, but we’ll get at it in a week!!!!

Here’s to an amazing weekend in Chicago for the Healthy Living Summit. What feels good, is being here knowing you are going to be surrounded by people with like-minds and views. Anxious to hear what everyone has to say and to finally meet some people I’ve been watching for months.

Get on your Garmin pony!

I tackled a run this morning on the beautiful lakefront of Chicago. How can you not get out and enjoy it? No picture because I ran sans phone, it’s much easier that way. I am feeling a bit under the weather (gasp, I hate to even admit this!) but was hoping to sweat it out on an easy, long run. At mile 3, I turned to go back the way I came. I was then lined-up with a female runner with similar build/form. Out comes the competitor in me, crap. I told myself, “stick to your pace”…but I couldn’t do it. I could hear her footsteps behind me and I took off. She kept trying to creep up, but I kept pushing. Alas, a quick 6-er, followed by a mile walk to cool down. With the lake views, a mile flies by.

Seeing that my iPod DIED on me during my run, I almost can’t talk about it, I think it’s time to show it some love with my weekly rotation:
- Eminem: Collapse (this will keep you hauling even in the worst of times)
- Lil Jon: Outta Your Mind (courtesy of Ellen on SYTYCD last night)
- Leighton Meester and Robin Thicke: Somebody to Love (perfect for CoreFusion)
- Bruno Mars: Just the Way You Are (in honor of Operation Beautiful launch this week)
- Garth Brooks: Callin Baton Rouge (for our birthday girl!)

What songs do I need to add to my little green iPod monster?

iTune it up.
