1. I’M WATCHING: Whenever I look at my training schedule and see intervals.

2. I’M READING: Runner’s World. Every time I pick up this magazine or go online I learn something new. Pro, “hobby jogger,” or plain running enthusiast, there is something for everybody. Great article on “high-intensity interval training” (HIIT, or some variation on that general theme), Sprinting for Weight Loss. For me, HIIT was the only way I got my race pace significantly lower.
3. I’M PINNING: Celebrating the start of the Olympics with Enjoy the Process: “The things you learn from sports—setting goals, being part of a team, confidence—that’s invaluable. It’s not about trophies and ribbons. It’s about being on time for practice, accepting challenges and being fearful of the elements.”
4. I’M LISTENING TO: Florence + the MachineSpectrum (Say My Name). Does she have a set of pipes!
5. I’M NOSHING ON: Cucumbers! How unexciting, right? But they are the perfect afternoon snack. Hummus, or balsamic vinegar, or tomatoes, etc. all make this green guy a big hit with me.
Give me a Friday 6, what’s something your diggin this week?

yum yum!!!! love this.. might have to borrow it for my blog
Do it!
Ugh. Intervals can suck it.
That is all.
Oh… and happy weekend, of course.
You’re telling me. Oy!
i’ve been listening to that song a lot lately! AND i’ve been putting cukes on everything! so crunchy and satisfying!
Cukes – haha! I forgot about that nickname, yeeeasss.
I’ve been eating Shepherd’s Pie every day for lunch this week. Every day. You know I love my Shepherd’s Pie, but I’m more than a little ready to eat something different!
Hope you have a great weekend!
You make Shepherd’s Pie look easy and delicious during summer, hard to do!
LOVE your pin, and you know I love Florence!
I’m sure you’ll do great with the intervals, and if you don’t feel up to them you have a great excuse!
I’m digging a four day work week on my first week back from holidays.
You are right about my little excuse, mwhaha.
Every week should be a 4 day, we’d be way more productive!
Florence is surely a young superstar – couldn’t believe when I heard she was only 25 (maybe 26 now?)! Girl can belt it out!
We got a huge cucumber in our CSA this week – I don’t think they’re “unexciting” at all
6. LE TOUR! Watching the TT right now!
She looks so much older, but yea she’s super young.
Huge cucumber, eh?? Size doesn’t matter, it’s the crunch:) haha
I am sure you’re sad to see the Tour over, but we have the olympics!
Glad I found your blog and that is exactly how I feel about track workouts. I think about it all day and then am worried and nervous ha. Can’t wait to read more!
