Friday Five

1. I’M WATCHING: Wimbledon and Tour de France. I’m on sports overload right now. Such a happy clam. These past few weeks I have seen some of the most exciting tennis – Nadal’s mind boggling loss, Murray losing his balls, Fed pulling a pro comeback…tennis at it’s best.

2. I’M READING: The ‘Busy’ Trap: Idleness is not just a vaca, it’s as indispensable to the brain as vitamin D is to the body. It’s a fantastic read from The New York Times. You’re not too “crazy busy” to read it.

3. I’M PINNING: The hus has a huge 24-hour mountain biking race (relay team) this weekend. I am going to be a good wifey and whip up some No Bake Energy Bites.

4. I’M LISTENING TO: Chris Brown – Don’t Wake Me Up. A perfect run/workout song.

  1. I am obsessed with those No Bake Energy Bites. So easy to make and a great fuel for a long run (or bike ride). Oh, and oh-so-yummy!
    My friends and I rented a boat for tomorrow. So excited to soak up this crazy heat wave (we are suppose to reach 106* today….IN MICHIGAN!) on the lake!

  2. No-bake cookies were my favorite in the tween years – it was “safe” cookie dough/brownie batter cousin that we could eat all night long! ;) These little balls look perfect.

    TdF overload is the BEST part of July!

  3. A 24hr. bike race…Is that something like the biking version of Ragnar? What a good wifey you are, those bites look delish!

    I have to admit, I can’t get into tennis…mostly because I have no clue what’s going on! Cheers to your weekend, enjoy the sports galore :)

    • I had to google Ragnar, there are tons of series out there. All of which are equally insane to me:)

      I think some people watch Wimbledon like people pay attention to big finals, you can’t help but get sucked in.

  4. One of my best friends is a HUGE tennis fan so I’m trying to get into it, too. I no absolutely nothing about the sport though so it’s a slow process. ;)

    After a short hiatus I’m back to pinning stuff like mad. My grocery list is INSANE. I think I need to tone it down a bit.

  5. Those energy bites look pretty awesome…I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t do well at containing myself to just one or two, though. :)
