It’s Friday, the end of a long week for some I’m sure. Take some time this weekend and get your life laundry done. When was the last time you did a light load?
I encourage you all to do something for yourself.
- DON’T make a list. Instead pick one thing you know you have been putting off and finally get it done. It could be anything from organizing a room to getting rid of your stack of old magazines.
- Make connections. Can you think of one person you haven’t talked to in awhile that you need to call or write? Take 30 minutes and make that call or send a postcard. You are guaranteed to brighten your day and that of your friend. Relationships come first!
- Goal check. If you have a goal or have something you wish to accomplish, do a gut check and make sure you are on track or getting there. Ask yourself if you are doing everything you can to work towards your goal.
Set goals, reach goals, make new goals.
What kind of loads are you doing?
I need to clean my room. It’s the goal of the weekend. Most likely happening Sunday when I’m schlepping around the house… :p
Happy weekend, my dear!
I like your style.
Such a great idea. It’s amazing the mounting stress that results from putting off even the most minor tasks that need to be done, and from my experience, there are few feelings greater than that which results from reaching out to an old friend or relative. Have an awesome weekend, Señora.
you.are.amazing.
And this is reason #3,456 why I’ve missed you!! This is an awesome post, the sentiment behind it is so spot-on. Not just the reminder to do that chore you’ve been putting off, but to reach out to a friend or family member, just to let them know you’re thinking of them…I need to do more of this. I’m going to Target today to get a card to send to a friend, thanks to YOU for planting the seed. xo!
xx You’re the best:) My nanny LOVES cards, and post cards are so cheap it’s the best to brighten a day. Have a great weekend bella.
life laundry – you are awesomely clever. I was JUST thinking this morning (literally five minutes ago!) that I need to work on a couple “projects” around here. I might make a Laundry List, though. ahem.
getting in touch – I am currently assembling a fun “care package” to surprise a friend with, so yeah, I’m doing that one too!
happy weekend!
You are always the best with sending thoughtful things, you are the ultimate pen pal.
So I didn’t accomplish much over the weekend. However, I did connect with some really great people (like Ryan Hall) and got to yell my face off at the NYCM. This week is going to be all about catching up on everything that got pushed to the side during the craziness of last week.
